What is Sports Massage?

Sports Massage is a type of massage therapy which uses deep tissue techniques, to reduce muscular tension and discomfort. Sports massage is not just for sports participants – it can be useful for anyone with muscular strains or imbalances, as it aims to increase the functionality of the muscles being worked on.

My gym studio in New Malden is equipped to provide personal training, including pregnancy and postnatal exercise, pelvic floor alignment and strength training for women. Personal training can be combined with massage therapy in my New Malden treatment room, to provide a complete tailored solution to help with muscle imbalances, postural problems and rehabilitation from injury.

The session begins with a pre-screening questionnaire and interview, after which I will devise a series of massage techniques to benefit you the individual client. At the end of the session I may prescribe stretching techniques or a series of gentle exercises to help speed up the recovery process
